I am an annoyed English woman who has been married to the (occasionally) grumpy and irascible, but mostly lovely, lovable Hector for ever and ever. We are also the proud and doting grandparents of the best and brightest eight-year-old boy on the planet...Little Hector.
I enjoy all of life's simple pleasures.
Or maybe I am just...simple.
(I know what Hector would say!)
Here are four different types of orchids (the plant in the middle is a 'lucky bamboo') that seem to live happily on our bathroom windowsill.

They are beautiful.
I bought my Mum a bouquet of flowers with a lucky bamboo as part of the arrangement and she threw it away because she thought it was a dead thing.
